Ann’s answer:
Thoughtful use of technology such as e-books, tablets, audiobooks, and educational apps is essential, as much of modern literacy is moving in this direction. Providing your child with carefully curated and supervised opportunities to engage with reading technology will help prepare them for success in school, work, and life. As they grow older and begin making their own choices, they will be better equipped to use these tools responsibly and effectively.

“Shared reading is a great way to bond with your child. Children with dyslexia rarely like to read aloud, so if you read to them for fun or share the reading with them, this can be quality time with your child. Any exposure to print or the written word is beneficial to your child, whether they are doing the reading or not.”
